Alt image Art, imagination and determination are in her DNA. Her refined sense of creativity and attention to detail were inspired by her parents – her father being a photographer and her mother being a product designer with a passion for ceramics and hand-crafted arts. Born in Japan and brought up in Australia, Hangna Koh first decided to move to London as she wished to travel as far as possible from home towards a place she had never visited before. Yet here, although she had attended a summer course for fashion design at Parsons, New York, in 2012, she realized she was more interested in styling and creative direction and therefore decided to enroll in the Fashion Styling course at Istituto Marangoni London. After graduation in 2015, she was awarded the Istituto Marangoni fashion stylist award and kicked off her career interning with Wallpaper* magazine as a fashion assistant; here she was able to assist some important stylists for magazines such as Vision China and The Gentleman's Journal. She has styled for print and online magazines including HUF, Hunger TV Youngblood, Male Model Scene and Postmatter. Due to her inclination towards spacial/set design and multidisciplinary collaboration, Hangna is currently doing a Masters course of Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art in London, focusing on creative direction, installation works and speculative design, as fashion films are her true ambition. Some of the fashion films she styled have been screened at Melbourne Fashion Film Festival 2015, and her next one will be screened at Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2017.
