Johann Bona, I'M Alumnus of the Master's course in Brand Management at Istituto Marangoni Milano Fashion, is an award-winning Artistic Director whose work is guided by a deep appreciation for simplicity. Through restraint and the simplest of gestures, he creates visual narratives that distil the essence of a subject to its purest form. He has also co-founded the Canadian based creative production space Casa Bona.

After graduating cum laude with a Master's degree in Brand Management at IM Milano Fashion School in 2009, Johann began his career as a fashion photographer, building a practice that has taken him across Canada, Italy, and Southeast Asia. His photographs have been published in international editions of Esquire, L’Officiel, Town & Country, and Tatler. In 2013, he was represented by the artist management agency Jed Root in Asia.

Johann later co-founded and designed Casa Bona, a Toronto production space conceived around the belief that the spaces we inhabit can shape how we feel and create. Casa Bona was named among Peerspace’s Best Spaces of 2024 and has welcomed clients including Netflix, Mastercard, Air Canada, Calm, DECIEM, Intelligent Change, and ELLE Canada.

Nowadays Johann also teaches visual communications in Canada and has lectured at the University of Toronto.
