Often featured by Vogue magazine, and also included by Vogue Talents among the top 200 best emerging designers in 2014, Marianna Cimini designs collections for stylish, contemporary women, creating garments in daring, contrast colours, in a style that she herself defines as “metropolitan graphics”, which albeit being minimalist, still retains a typical Mediterranean boldness taken from her origins. She is a Fashion Designer graduated from Istituto Marangoni Milano. As the winner of the Premio Moda Italia fashion contest for young talents organised by CNA, Marianna got the opportunity to do an internship at Max Mara, where she was soon promoted as a Senior Designer of the ‘SMax Mara’ line. This was followed by a period during which she collaborated as a designer with Tod’s, where she was responsible for conceptualizing and launching a capsule collection for Fay Woman. Her rapid professional growth as a designer is enriched by significant add-on experiences in the world of Fashion: in fact, over the years Marianna has shown off her talent creating a special Jewelry collection, as well as working as a coolhunter for a craft consortium. The turning point came in 2012, when she launched her namesake Marianna Cimini brand during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Milano. She actively participates in numerous fashion contests, such as "Next Generation", sponsored by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and “Who is on next?” organised by Vogue Italia and AltaRoma, constantly and promptly receiving positive remarks on the part of critics and public alike.
Since April 2021, she is a fashion design consultant for Max Mara Group.
