Raffaella Eleonora Colombo, I'M Alumna of the Three Years course in Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni Milano Fashion school, is a senior executive with over 25 years of comprehensive experience in product development, having worked with prestigious brands both internationally and in Italy. She currently serves as Director of RTW Product Development at Balmain.
After graduating from Istituto Marangoni in 1994, Raffaella began her professional career working for Giorgio Kauten as a Designer and Product Manager. During this time she lived between Milan and New Delhi and supported the development of the womenswear line. In 1997, Raffaella joined Prada as a Product Manager in charge of the Classic Knitwear and Jersey Menswear & Womenswear Collection. Following this experience, she joined CoSTUME NATIONAL, a fashion brand founded by Ennio Capasa, as Head of Product for the Menswear division (CoSTUME NATIONAL HOMME). In this position, she oversaw the production of the entire menswear collection until 1999. She then joined Neil Barrett as Head of Product for both Womenswear and Menswear collections. Over the course of almost 20 years with the company, Raffaella worked directly with Neil Barrett for each collection development and was responsible for the management and coordination of product team across all product categories, as well as of the coordination of manufacturers and producers worldwide. In 2017, she joined Diesel as R&D Coordinator and in 2022 she moved to Paris to join Balmain as its RTW Development Director.
