Working directly alongside Fahad Aljomiah and the 1886 team, students engage with the brand from the inside, gaining firsthand understanding of its vision and its creative process.
The experience goes beyond observation: students are tasked with developing a concrete strategy to support the positioning of 1886 within the Saudi women's ready-to-wear market, addressing real challenges and opportunities the brand faces as it grows.
About Fahad Aljomiah
Fahad Aljomiah is the founder and CEO of 1886, a Saudi fashion label established in Riyadh in 2016. The name comes from dorm rooms 18 and 86 in London, where he and his co-founder lived while studying and where the first ideas for the brand began to take shape. Those rooms became the brand’s first studio, where sketches, references, and the identity of 1886 came together.
Originally rooted in streetwear, 1886 has since evolved into ready-to-wear, spanning tailoring, denim, knitwear, and outerwear that balance comfort, structure, and everyday ease.
Through 1886, Fahad explores a contemporary Saudi perspective, fast-moving, confident, and outward-looking, while remaining closely connected to its cultural roots. Each collection is designed for an international audience, with Riyadh at its center.
