Traveller, dreamer, restless esthete: Francesca Lanzavecchia was born in 1983 in Pavia. To tame her artistic soul, she graduated in Industrial Design from Politecnico di Milano. She honed her manual and creative skills during a Master’s Programme at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, where she graduated with honours in 2008.

Her pieces tell stories and dreams: her vision of the world.

In 2010 she co-founded the Lanzavecchia + Wai studio with Hunn Wai, with offices in Pavia and Singapore. Spanning industrial design, installations and limited editions, all her projects have a story to tell.

She collaborated with leading brands including Zanotta, FIAM, Living Divani, Hermes, DeCastelli, AgustaWestland, Cappellini, NODUS and Tod's and with cultural institutions including the Milan Triennale, the MAXXI in Rome and the Royal College of Art in London.

 Over the years she received several awards including the “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016” for her Trasition collection for Mirage®; the "Innovation in Inclusive Design Practice Award 2015" from the Royal College of Art and the Elle Décor International Design Award 2014 in the "Young Designer Talent of the Year" category.
