Acknowledged as one of the Top 3 Creative Directors (2012 / 2002) by Control Mag.; 1st Spaniard to rank among the world’s Best Creative Directors (Gunn Report 2010); notching up over 500 awards, including several Gold Cannes Lions and One Show Pencils along with a plethora of Golds in Clio, London IAA, Cresta, NY Fests., El Sol, FIAP, Eurobest, Epica, Laus, ADCI, Promax, etc., and other awards in D&AD, Communication Arts, Art Directors Club NY, CdeC, etc.
German has won 2 Grand Prix at the Spanish Advertisers Association’s Efi Awards. In 2010 he decided not to take part in any more ad festivals. For now.
He has been member of the jury in the world’s most important festivals, including Cannes Lions (Film), Clio, Art Directors Club NY, London IAA, El Sol, FIAP, NY Fests., Eurobest, Art Directors Club of Europe, LAUS and BCMA.
He is also a keynote speaker at major innovation & marketing forums. Founding member of Spain’s Club de Creativos, German is also a past & present member of the exclusive One Club, the D&AD, ADC NY, ADG/FAD, the Italian ADC and the Club Matador.
He headed up the teams (including a seat on their Global Creative Boards) at DMB&B, Young & Rubicam, Armando Testa and HAVAS's Euro RSCG where he also held responsibilities as Executive VP of the whole group of companies in Spain; Arnold - 4D & DF - as well as holding responsibilities as the Group’s European CCO.
German has held top responsibilities at global creative level for some of Spain’s & Italy’s biggest brands worldwide and his work is keenly related to the world of fashion, luxury items and premium brands.
In October 2010 he founded the BÁRBARA & Co agency, Ranked TOP 1 Spanish Independent Agency in its first two years (Infoadex).
At the end of 2014, German leaves it to focus his energies on a revolutionary new creative consultant company:
PINK Lab™, officially born on August 2016, the first Creative Consultant Company in the market that CREATES VALUE delivering Innovation & Business CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION.
In July 2020, he joined the Executive Committee of the Asociación de Agencias de Creatividad Transformadora (ACT) where shortly after he was appointed Vice President of Creativity.
