Founded in 1993 by Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, Viktor&Rolf is globally recognised for its conceptual, theatrical and innovative approach to fashion, spanning Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear, Bridal and Fragrances. Among the house’s most iconic collections are Russian Doll (1999), Fashion Statements (Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019) and Late Stage Capitalism Waltz (Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023). More recently, the Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture collection, Diamond Kite, explored the theme of flight, culminating in a finale that literally took to the air. In partnership with L’Oréal, the house launched the iconic Flowerbomb fragrance in 2005, now a global bestseller. Together with the continued development of major international exhibitions, including Viktor&Rolf: Fashion Artists 25 Years at Kunsthal Rotterdam, Fashion Statements at Kunsthalle Munich (2024) and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta (2025–2026), these milestones highlight the brand’s lasting influence on the global fashion landscape.

IM Mentorship Programme

Istituto Marangoni Paris is proud to announce a new collaboration with Viktor&Rolf, the internationally renowned fashion house celebrated for its visionary approach and experimental creativity. Through this new Industry Project, students will tackle a real-world creative challenge under the mentorship of the brand’s founders, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.

The project will focus on the Spring/Summer 2028 Womenswear Ready-to-Wear collection. Fashion Design students will be invited to interpret Viktor&Rolf’s creative universe by developing a strong creative direction, designing three key-look prototypes, producing both digital and printed lookbooks, and imagining an innovative presentation concept for Paris Fashion Week that goes beyond the traditional runway show. The project will launch in November with an exclusive masterclass on the Paris campus led by Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.

Together, they will introduce the house’s creative philosophy and present the project brief. Throughout the project, students will benefit from two online mentoring sessions with the Viktor&Rolf design team before presenting their final work in Paris to representatives of the maison. The collaboration also offers exceptional career opportunities, reflecting Viktor&Rolf’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent.

The winning student will be awarded an internship within the house’s RTW Bridal Design department in Amsterdam. In addition, all participants will receive privileged access to Viktor&Rolf’s upcoming Couture exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, in Paris. Two or three selected students will also have the opportunity to work backstage as dressers during the Spring/Summer 2027 Ready-to-Wear showroom in Paris from October.

« This collaboration reflects Istituto Marangoni Paris’ commitment to building strong connections with leading players in the fashion industry. Beyond its academic dimension, the project creates a meaningful dialogue between education and creative practice, giving students the opportunity to engage directly with Viktor&Rolf’s vision while exploring the future of ready-to-wear fashion. » Valérie Berdah-Levy, Chief Operating Officer - France & UK
