EUROPEAN PRODUCT DESIGN AWARDS

A global recognition celebrating innovation, functionality, and excellence in contemporary product design.

EUROPEAN PRODUCT DESIGN AWARD: INTERNATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN PRODUCT AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

The European Product Design Award (EPDA) is an international competition created to recognise excellence in product and industrial design. The award celebrates projects capable of improving everyday life through functionality, innovation, sustainability, and aesthetic research.

Over the years, the competition has become an important reference point within the international design landscape, rewarding projects that respond to contemporary social, environmental, and lifestyle challenges while shaping the future of industrial design.

The 2025 edition was evaluated by an international jury of leading designers, academics, creative directors, and industry experts, including Aidin Ardjomandi from World Design Consortium, Arnaud Bozzini from ADAM – Brussels Design Museum, Christian Doering from Art Directors Club Germany, Radhika Seth from Yanko Design, and Prof. Carlos Montana from Queensland University of Technology, recognising both established professionals and emerging design talent through a rigorous and internationally respected evaluation process.

PEBBLE by Camille Ferreira (South Africa)

Created within the BA in Product Design, “Pebble” by Camille Ferreira is an air purifier designed for contemporary indoor environments.

Inspired by natural forms, the project moves away from the clinical appearance of traditional appliances, introducing softer geometries and materials that integrate seamlessly into residential and hospitality interiors.

By combining technological functionality with a more emotional domestic language, “Pebble” rethinks the relationship between well-being, sustainability, and everyday objects.

ONE BAG by Zhiyi Jin & Jiachen Du (China)

“One Bag”, developed within the Master in Product & Furniture Design, received an Honorable Mention at the European Product Design Award.

The project proposes a multifunctional carrying system designed for contemporary urban mobility. Through modular organisation, ergonomic research, and sustainable materials, the design adapts to different daily and travel scenarios while minimising waste and maximising durability.

The result is a flexible product concept that combines practicality, mobility, and circular design thinking.
