A new Mentorship for the Product & Furniture Design students of the School of Design, led by designer Elisa Ossino, Co-founder & Creative Director of the Elisa Ossino Studio and in collaboration with furniture design brand Molteni&C. After launching the brief at the Molteni showroom in Giussano, when the students had the opportunity to visit the Molteni Museum, it is now time to meet the company and mentor in the classroom to get some intermediate feedback on their work.

The brief required the students to design a modern piece of furniture that would include smart technologies or interactive materials, such as smart wood, LED lights or E-ink, but without distorting the soul and essence of Molteni&C and without resorting to monitors, a ubiquitous element in our lives today. Each student reworked the concept in a different way, giving their own take on "calm technology", i.e. a non-invasive approach to technology aimed at improving the user experience. 

During the Mid Review, the students had a moment of exchange with Mentors and the company, who were satisfied with the work in progress and gave them valuable advice to be ready for the Final Delivery.
