WenYan Xu, I’M Alumna of the Fashion Design Bachelor course at Milan Fashion school, has been selected as the winner of the Circular Design Challenge European Selection Chapter 2024.

For the second year, Istituto Marangoni has partnered with the Circular Design Challenge (CDC), an initiative presented by R|Elan in partnership with Lakmé Fashion Week and the United Nations in India. The CDC supports talented designers promoting the principles of sustainability and circularity in the fashion industry.

As part of the partnership, Istituto Marangoni has selected a shortlist of I’M Alumni Fashion Designers with a strong focus on sustainability and circularity as candidates from Europe to give them the opportunity to participate in the semi-final selection phase.

The jury, comprised by Sara Sozzani Maino, Marina Spadafora, Tiziano Guardini, Francesca Delogu and Francesco Fioretto selected I'M Alumni WenYan Xu as the winner of the European selection chapter. She will join the final selection phase at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India in October 2024.
