Expanded Universes
Expanded Universes
The Design Degree Show, will present, through an unprecedented itinerary, the best projects of the 3-year students who have focused on the research theme of the academic year 2021/22 Expanded Universes, aimed at exploring how product, interior and visual design have redefined the post-pandemic "new normal".
The exhibition will be open during the Design Week 2023 from 4th to 23rd of April from 10am to 9pm at Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Design in Via Cerva, 24 showing the in-depth investigation conducted by the students and the different design interpretations that their research has generated.
The Visual Design department explored the topic of Mesmerising Metaverse, demonstrating how virtual and physical environments can merge and interact to create intense experiences.
The Product Design department focused on Post-Real Design, exploring the "repurposing" of material reality as a reaction to the increasing digitisation of the social dimension.
The Interior Design department delved into the topic Inner World, through which students explored the "introverted" projection of their personalities into indoor environments.
These projects demonstrate the ability of young generations to think critically and research extensively, reflecting the School of Design's commitment to promoting innovative and forward-thinking design.
The Design Degree Show is curated by Matteo Agati, Designer, Alumnus of Istituto Marangoni Milano and member of the Prisma Project.
