Istituto Marangoni student Isabella Giovannini is the winner of the 2014 edition of the French Young Fashion Designers Contest organized by the Talons Aiguilles of EDHEC Business School. The 21st edition of the Concours Jeunes Créateurs took place on 27th March, 2014 at the CCI in Lille. A professional jury led by Mr. Raimondo Ciofani, artistic director of the Morgan brand, awarded first prize in the category “Student” to Isabella Giovannini, 3rd year Fashion Design student at Istituto Marangoni Paris, who’s recently completed successful internships at Miroglio Fashion SRL and Lanvin. Talons Aiguilles is the top ranking student fashion association in Europe, created in 1992 to promote young fashion designers in the North of France. The principle of the contest is quite straight-forward. Among the numerous candidates who submit their files, twenty talented artists are selected for a final fashion show. Every year the association works hard to organize a high-quality fashion show on a given theme, which was an intriguing "Mystic" for this year’s contest. According to the chosen theme, as always, candidates have been welcomed to present 3 different looks: a woman ready-to-wear outfit; a man ready-to-wear outfit; an Haute Couture style outfit. Giovannini presented her creations to an audience of more than 500 people and won a € 1.000 check, a C-Design fashion design software worth € 10.000, a medium-haul flight with Air France, and the opportunity to exhibit her collection at the Tanneurs Shopping Center in Lille.
