Funlayo Deri is a luxury brand of clothing, created in 2011 by Funmilayo Deri, a Nigerian-born designer who works between London and Budapest. Each piece is made using a limited quantity of fabrics and is almost unique. After earning a degree in International Business and working as a manager in a private bank in Switzerland, Funmilayo Deri decided in 2009 to make a career out of her love of fashion. She studied at Istituto Marangoni London Fashion School, and went on to create her own brand of clothes. Today, Funmilayo Deri’s collections are presented at the African Fashion Week in New York, at Vauxhall Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week and at Arise Magazine’s Fashion Week.
