Istituto Marangoni and UNIBE strengthen academic collaboration
In May this year, Istituto Marangoni was invited by Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) to attend a networking breakfast in Santo Domingo, held in the presence of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) of the Dominican Republic. The event aimed to further strengthen the academic cooperation between the two institutions.

In 2024, UNIBE and Istituto Marangoni established a strategic partnership to deliver a Double bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. The program allows students to attend the first two years of their undergraduate studies in interior design at UNIBE, before completing their academic journey at Istituto Marangoni in Milano.
The event also highlighted Istituto Marangoni’s commitment to participating in the MESCyT international scholarship programme, offering Dominican design students the opportunity to pursue master’s level studies in Europe.
In addition to representatives from Istituto Marangoni and UNIBE, the breakfast welcomed distinguished guests, including Lic. Rafael Santos Badía, the newly appointed Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) and S.E. Sergio Maffettone, Italian Ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
This international collaboration reaffirms Istituto Marangoni’s commitment to fostering transformative educational experiences and nurturing academic excellence through a contemporary pedagogical approach that integrates innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
