Istituto Marangoni Mumbai showcased the top three students’ work during H.H Maharaja of Jodhpur Cup at the exquisite RAAS Jodhpur. This first ever unique collaborative effort of Istituto Marangoni, Mumbai and Jodhpur Polo Associations was a beautiful amalgamation of history, heritage, luxury and appreciation of craftsmanship. Union of Italian heritage with a sport referred as 'The Sport of Kings', was a beautiful homage towards art. The show started with a panel discussion,  ‘Artisans of Love’, debating the use of Indian craft in global design nowadays. The panellists included Monica Shah, Founder of JADE by Monica and Karishma, Ivan Oddos, Interior Designer & Architect, Mevin Murden, Director of Education, Manu Sharma, GM Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace, Dhruv Pal Godara, Former Indian Polo Team Captain, Rachana Singh, Unit Leader Fashion Business.

The panel discussion tackled topics on  ‘Sustainability’, ‘Contemporary Design’, 'Timelessness', ‘Craftsmanship’, and in general the new trends that shape the consumer behaviour.

The event closed with a curated selection of JADE’s contemporary pieces demonstrating the rich Indian heritage of refined craft applied in a contemporary way.

Monica Shah,  Co-founder of JADE and Chanakya School of Craft said:

"Our artisanal legacy is what sets us apart from the world. And the only way to sustain it is through innovation - to bring these crafts into the mainstream, reimagine them in modern, current forms and make them relevant generation after generation."
