On September 6, 2025, under the century-old dome of Shanghai’s Yongan Department Store, Istituto Marangoni Shanghai held its annual Outstanding Graduate Fashion Show themed “NEXUS.” This grand event not only marks the 90th anniversary of Istituto Marangoni but also coincides with the 100th anniversary of Yongan Department Store, which has witnessed Shanghai’s transformation into a modern metropolis.

Founded in 1918, Yongan Department Store has seen the city’s modern evolution, while Istituto Marangoni, founded in 1935, has contributed almost a century of fashion education, enriching the city’s fashion scene.

The core concept of the fashion show was brought to life by 14 outstanding graduates, including Ariane Tan, Chatchai Chaitrakulthong, Cui Jingjing, Liu Jize, Luedi Julia Isabel, Qu Jiaqi, Skorokhodova Uliana, Wang Angelique Isabel, Wu Jiaxu, Wu Yi, Xu Yiming, Zhang Chen, Zhao Weiwen and Zhao Zijie, through 35 design pieces.

The show not only showcased the graduates’ work from the fashion design program but also highlighted interdisciplinary collaboration: students from the Fashion Business and Fashion Digital Media programs were involved in creating the entire creative video proposal, exemplifying a collaboration across various fields to bridge the traditional with the future.
