Dominicana Moda, the most prestigious Fashion Event of Central America, has hosted Istituto Marangoni young talents this year. On 23rd October, 8 of the best fashion designers of the four Istituto Marangoni Schools of Fashion (Milan, London, Paris and Shanghai) tread the catwalk of Santo Domingo, having the opportunity to give visibility to their creations and show their skills to an International audience of journalists and professionals of the fashion system. The show opened with the men's collections of Jennifer Wang  - Shanghai Training Centre, Ying Duan and Wang Shiyi - Milano School of Fashion, Abiola Adeniran – Paris School of Fashion, followed by the women's collections of Alexandra Baranova, Li Tianyi and Aarabhi Sivaraman – London School of Fashion, and Lu Hiu Yang - Milano School of Fashion. Istituto Marangoni young designers have surprised their audience for the skilful use of materials, the originality of their models and the choice of fabrics and colours, deriving from their own talent and the influence received from the Istituto Marangoni method and their home country. Main theme of the show is “Fashion Warrior”, a clear call for students to fight for their future using their own talent, not an innate gift but an attitude inside everyone that must be constantly nurtured. “The participation in Dominicana Moda is a new opportunity that we wanted to offer our students. An event that has become the most important fashion event of the Caribbean and Central America in just ten years, an International window to gain visibility and deal with leading companies and professionals of the fashion system looking for young designer” says Roberto Riccio, Group Managing Director of Istituto Marangoni.
