Mariana Prestes wins the iF Design Award with the project “VIDA”
A new international recognition highlights the creative excellence emerging from Istituto Marangoni Milano Design. Mariana Prestes, member of the Prisma Project, has been awarded the prestigious iF Design Award with her project VIDA, one of the most internationally recognised benchmarks of design excellence.
Originally developed during her years at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design, VIDA was conceived as part of the creative and experimental environment fostered by the School. The project evolved from an academic exploration into a refined design proposal, demonstrating how ideas born in the classroom can grow into concepts capable of standing out on the global stage.

The iF Design Award recognises projects that combine aesthetic quality, innovation and meaningful design thinking. With VIDA, Mariana Prestes developed a concept distinguished by its symbolic depth and refined product language, translating research, experimentation and design methodology into a contemporary solution.
This achievement reflects the value of a learning environment where experimentation, critical thinking and industry-oriented design processes guide students in transforming ideas into tangible and competitive outcomes.
Mariana Prestes’ award further confirms the role of Istituto Marangoni Milano Design as a creative hub where emerging designers develop the skills, vision and methodology needed to engage with the international design landscape.
