The National Chamber of Italian Fashion has rewarded two talents of Istituto Marangoni in Milano.
The National Chamber of Italian Fashion (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) has chosen the four winners of Next Generation. Among them Martina Cella and Daniele Vigiani, two young talents from Istituto Marangoni.
The awards ceremony took place on 27th November, at the headquarters of the CNMI, to mark the selection of the winners of the eighth edition of the Next Generation contest aimed at emerging designers under 30 and organised in collaboration with the Milan Chamber of Commerce.
The competition is aimed at finding a new generation of talent in fashion design. With an eye firmly on the future of Made in Italy, it gives its winners the honour of greater visibility during Milano Fashion Week.
120 applications received, 23 finalists, and 4 winners decreed by a jury composed of leading figures in the fashion world, figures such as Fabiana Giacomotti (journalist and fashion historian), Sara Maino (Vogue) and Paola Alvear (buyer). On the podium, two stars of Istituto Marangoni in Milano.
Congratulations to Martina Cella, 21 year old student in the 3rd year of the Fashion Design course, and Daniele Vigiani, 22, who graduated in Fashion Design in 2013. The 12 creations, made by young designers under the guidance of a consultant with funding from the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, will be presented during the Next Generation parade on the catwalks of Milano Fashion Week, February 19 to 25, 2014, in the presence of the press and the most prestigious international buyers in the fashion industry.
