Rethinking Accessory Culture: Creativity, Making and Transformation

Istituto Marangoni Firenze launches the Innovative Accessories Challenge in collaboration with Sara Sozzani Maino • Creative Director @Fondazione Sozzani.

The Innovative Accessories Challenge is an international call dedicated to young designers under 30, inviting them to explore new expressive possibilities in the world of contemporary accessories.

The challenge promotes an approach that combines experimentation, material research, and design responsibility, enhancing the dialogue between craftsmanship, innovative techniques, and aesthetic visions capable of anticipating the design languages of the future.

The projects will be evaluated by an outstanding international jury composed of:

The winning project will receive:

• a full scholarship for the Master in Luxury Accessories Design Management at Istituto Marangoni Firenze;
• the realization of the project: the school will take care of the entire prototyping and production phase, providing the designer with tools, resources, and technical support to transform the idea into a tangible accessory.

Talk & Panel

An open conversation on how accessories today can become an expressive form, wearable sculpture, or functional device in relation to the body and the surrounding space.

The talk will feature the participation of internationally renowned professionals — figures active in fashion design, fashion, and accessory design — who will offer a multidisciplinary perspective on the future of contemporary accessories.
