Supported by Giorgio Armani, Chinese designer Ricostru will present SS17 fashion show at Armani/Teatro during the upcoming Milan Fashion Week. After Daizy Shely, Lucio Vanotti and Andrea Pompilio, Manchit Au is the fourth Istituto Marangoni alumna to be selected by Giorgio Armani to parade in the famous and prestigious space, housed in the premise designed by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Manchit Au graduated in 2009 from Istituto Maranogni Milano, after attending the course in Fashion Design. In 2011, once returned to her hometown in China, she founded Recostru, a brand and a design collective focusing on basic and comfortable pieces with clean designs and luxurious to the touch. A womenswear collection that combines rigorous elegance and rich materials, refined details and essential cuts. Star of The Vogue Talent Corner in Beijing in 2011, after winning the title of Vogue Talent Italy in 2012, Manchitu Au kicked off her career and inaugurated its first Ricostru boutique in the Chinese capital. The luxurious contemporary vision of the young designer, gained in the course of her studies at Istituto Marangoni, has not failed to win over the great Italian maestro, who has been supporting for several seasons the most interesting talents in the fashion world by inviting them to parade at Armani/ Theater.
