RUNNING IN STYLE WITH NIKE

Istituto Marangoni Milano and Nike are teaming up once again with the Run Club Logo Workshop. The initiative, which involved some high school students in the creation of a logo inspired by the world of running, had one main goal that is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, interpreted in a creative way, closer to the codes of the youth. Expert Istituto Marangoni trainers have guided the would-be designers in the development of the project, offering numerous theoretical and practical insights on the importance of a logo in representing the brand image of a company as well as on how to make the most of a product from a strategic and communicative point of view. From the definition of a name for a hypothetical racing club, to the choice of the iconographic and textual elements of the logo, the students were involved in the entire creation process, without ever losing sight of the first real aim of the event, that of showing Millennials all the facets of the world of running. A favourite logo was voted among the versions created by all the groups, to be combined with the club name chosen by the majority; then, using Photoshop, the teacher who led the workshop combined the selected elements into a finished creative product, offering students the opportunity to see, in real time, their logo come to life through the use of digital editing software, actively participating in the choice of shapes, colours, shades and dimensions. The schools involved in the Run Club Logo Workshop. include: Elio Vittorini Scientific High School, Severi- Correnti Institute of Higher Education, Curie-Sraffa High School, and Luxemburg Institute. After each theoretical and graphic session, each day ended with a real race, sponsored by Nike, around the Milano fashion district. In the coming months, the final logo will be printed on the T-shirts that the kids will receive for the Milano City Marathon event.
