On 12th September 2015, the First Graduation Ceremony for Istituto Marangoni Shanghai Training Centre students was held in the magnificent backdrop of Portman Ritz Carlton Hotel, Shanghai. This is not only a significant milestone for the Training Centre in the Asia-Pacific region, but also an important part of the various celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Istituto Marangoni. More than 100 guests participated in the ceremony among graduates’ relatives and friends, as well as representatives from the fashion and media industry and the Istituto Marangoni headquarters. 50 talented students who attended the courses in Fashion Design, Luxury Brand Management and Promotion or Fashion Buying and Merchandising at Istituto Marangoni Shanghai, have just completed their progressing and professional courses and are now ready to feed the emerging fashion industry in Asia in line with the dictates of Italy’s excellence in fashion and design education. Some of the most talented among Istituto Marangoni Shanghai students have exhibited their works in the Shanghai Fashion Week in April this year, while three of them have also presented their work at the “Graduate Fashion Week” in London. The best menswear and womenswear designers, Wang Qiu Jie and Jin NI, attended the Florence Men Fashion Week and the Milano Women Fashion Week as representatives of Istituto Marangoni Shanghai and received high praise from professionals in Italy’s media and fashion industry.
