TEXT(S) TURE(S)
Florence, 18 June 2025 – Istituto Marangoni Firenze is proud to present TEXT(S) TURE(S), the 2025 Fashion Show, taking place at 6:00 PM in the historic setting of Florence’s former Stock Exchange, Piazza Mentana 1.
The title TEXT(S) TURE(S) emerges from a refined semantic play combining two core dimensions of the school’s identity: text, intended as narrative – visual, cultural, and conceptual – and texture, understood as the tactile, material quality of surface. This duality embodies the philosophy of Istituto Marangoni Firenze, where fashion and art are intertwined in a constant dialogue between innovation and tradition, concept and craftsmanship, design and matter.
The Fashion Show marks the culmination of a design journey that began in summer 2024 with a Summer Brief focused on craft intelligence, bringing together digital experimentation and manual savoir-faire. From this shared exploration, the collections took shape – created by third-year Fashion Design & Accessories students – each offering a unique interpretation of the show’s central concept.
The eight collections selected by a jury of industry experts and presented on the runway share a common vision of fashion as a language of identity and a tool for transformation.
Each project is rooted in a personal exploration of cultural heritage and contemporary issues, weaving together memory and future, intimacy and collectivity, form and meaning. It is a choral narrative in which surface becomes text and every fabric finds its voice.
Li Xintong, Shreya, Eleonora Maccarone, Elena Maria Brugnara, Martina La Gatta, Giulia Lin, Regina Branca, and Martina Troya Malo are the eight designers who will present their collections at the Florence campus Fashion Show.
Running in parallel with the runway event, TEXT(S) TURE(S) unfolds in an immersive exhibition path that translates the show’s concept into a series of site-specific installations, each representing a different academic area of the school. A collective storytelling experience that celebrates the interdisciplinary identity of Istituto Marangoni and its dialogue with industry.
The Fashion Styling area showcases a curated selection of works focused on building the collections’ visual identity, while Fashion Business engages visitors with an interactive survey that blends analysis and storytelling. Visual artworks from the Art Department enhance the immersive experience, offering conceptual and aesthetic interpretations of the themes behind the show.
The Master in Olfactory Experience & Brand Management signs an exclusive fragrance and olfactory installation inspired by the duality of human/machine and natural/artificial. The Fashion Design projects developed in collaboration with Chargeurs PCC (Recoding the Shirt) reimagine the shirt as a site of structural experimentation, while the Master in Luxury Accessories Design & Management, in partnership with Leather & Luxury, redefines the accessory as a tool of identity expression through prototypes created with leading industry partners.
At the heart of the runway, a striking scenic installation features a jacquard textile designed by students of the Master in Fashion, Art & Textile Innovation, becoming a tangible symbol of synergy between experimentation and material research.
“TEXT(S) TURE(S) perfectly reflects our educational vision: a place that cultivates a plurality of perspectives, languages, and design approaches. We don’t showcase a single voice but a chorus of talents. That’s what makes each Fashion Show unique: a powerful weave of creativity, craftsmanship, and research,”
says Lorenzo Tellini, Director of Istituto Marangoni Firenze.
