During the Shanghai Fashion Week, Istituo Marangoni has presented the Fall/Winter 2016/17 collections of twelve graduates from Istituto Marangoni Fashion Training Centre, in the heart of the Chinese metropolis. The young designers put before the public their creations, expression of the values learnt while attending the Fashion Design courses at Istituto Marangoni: the respect of cultural traditions and curiosity for new trends and techniques; the enhancement of hand craftsmanship, the attention to detail, and the other values concurring to make Made in Italy luxury famous in the world. At the Shanghai Fashion Week, the newly graduated designers was joined by a special guest: designer Alberto Zambelli, one of the most acclaimed alumni of Istituto Marangoni The Milano School of Fashion. Graduated in the 90s, Zambelli is known for creating clean-cut couture pieces that are exquisitely detailed and elegant. Encouraging and backing the rising careers of its most talented alumni has always been a top priority and ongoing commitment for Istituto Marangoni, further testified on this occasion by the presence on the catwalks of two alumni of Istituto Marangoni Shanghai, designers Ji Cheng and Han Lulu. Mixing Oriental elegance with clean Western tailoring, Ji Cheng and Han Lulu favour a simple yet impressive metropolitan style in collections that promise to be rich in fresh and pleasant innovation. Diana Villalobos Barrera, graduated from Istituto Marangoni Fashion Training Centre, has been selected by the internal jury among all designers as the designer showcasing the 2016 best fashion design collection.
