ISTITUTO MARANGONI RIYADH HOSTS “TUESDAY AT ISTITUTO MARANGONI” WITH LIGHTING DESIGN SPECIALIST MAYAR YOUNES 

Istituto Marangoni Riyadh welcomed Interior Designer and Lighting Design Specialist Mayar Younes for the May session of its monthly talk series, Tuesday at Istituto Marangoni. 

With a background in interior design and advanced lighting studies from Politecnico di Milano, Mayar offered a refined perspective on how lighting shapes the emotional and sensory experience within fashion and retail spaces. She introduced lighting as a design language and showed how it communicates identity, guides movement, and elevates the overall atmosphere of a store. 

Through curated examples, Mayar demonstrated how lighting can highlight products, frame focal points, and create immersive environments that resonate with customers on a deeper emotional level. She also explored how light contributes to storytelling, influencing how customers perceive and interact with a brand long before engaging with its products. 

The session provided attendees with a clear understanding of how thoughtful lighting design enhances the retail journey and strengthens the emotional connection between customers and the brand.
