Two Bronze Awards at the ADCI Awards 2025 for Visual Communication Design Students
The evening of the ADCI Awards 2025, held at the Allianz MiCo Auditorium in Milan, brought significant recognition to the Department of Visual Communication Design: two student projects received a Bronze Award, underscoring the excellence and depth of the work developed within our programmes.
The prestigious Art Directors Club Italiano, the leading authority in the field of creative communication in Italy, selected and awarded the projects of Davide Lazzoni and Isabella Fernandez de Castro, acknowledging their originality, relevance, and conceptual maturity.
Bronze – “Bloom” by Davide Lazzoni
Bloom addresses the theme of emotional education through an inclusive and visually driven approach.
Designed for individuals with Down syndrome or Fragile X syndrome, the app translates emotions and social experiences into digital floral compositions, offering a clearer and more accessible way to identify and express feelings.
This visual system becomes a valuable tool for opening conversations with caregivers and therapists, enhancing emotional awareness and supporting personal growth.
A project that demonstrates how design can meaningfully contribute to well-being and interpersonal connection.

Bronze – “Chinatown, Milano” by Isabella Fernandez de Castro
Chinatown, Milano presents an immersive exploration of the city through an inventive and experimental visual language.
The video blends real footage, animated elements, and AI-generated imagery, crafting a narrative that bridges Chinese cultural references with the author’s lived experience.
Born from the intention to portray a place chosen as home, the project reflects on identity formation within multicultural contexts. The result is a compelling and expressive work that captures the rhythm and complexity of one of Milan’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
An achievement that opens new perspectives
The two Bronze Awards at the ADCI Awards 2025 confirm the strength of the Visual Communication Design programme, which provides students with the critical and creative tools needed to engage with the professional world.
These projects reveal a generation of designers attentive to social issues, urban dynamics, and the narrative potential of new technologies.
A milestone that encourages continued investment in research, conceptual depth, and individual expression — cornerstones of our approach to contemporary design.
