This project is based on the Aesthetic Sustainability brief, and the choice of materials that last over time was key. My first inspiration was the movement of readymade design that assembled objects unrelated to furniture design to create something new. I researched recycled or sustainable materials and looked into designers like Marcel Breuer, George Nelson, the Castiglioni brothers, Tobia Scarpa, Marc Newson. Then I found my own materials: galvanized aluminum, polyurethane foam, carbonized wood. I started this project at the beginning of the pandemic, and carried it out virtually. The world is becoming more and more digitalized, we must not forget to design spaces in harmony with the ecosystem.
