Carlin Group - the Paris-based international style and marketing leading agency serving as a trending reference for clients spanning from ready-to-wear to the car industry, media, cosmetics, and more; operating through a worldwide network of branches – teamed up with Istituto MarangoniThe Paris School of Fashion in a special project aiming to design and produce a Spring Summer 2017 collection of shirts.
“The Shirt Must Have Projects SS 2017” involved seven students from the Master in Fashion Design Womenswear: Anne Laure Caillet, Melina Jatene, Sonam Khetan, Nora Makaryan, Juan Fernando Guillen Mendoza, Thuy Truc Vy Phan, and Anvita Sharma; and was divided into four steps, starting from the selection of the SS 2017 trends, carried out by Carlin Agency. Then came the design process, including the choice of sketches, their explanation, and the consequent execution of the technical drawings; followed by the construction, fitting, and perfection of the models; and finally by the real making of the products: the must-have shirts, ready to wear.
The students enthusiastically applied their creative skills and rigorous method into the project, working meticulously through each of its stages. Six different prototypes of both premium and mass market orientation resulted from this original and stimulating collaboration.
