A talented, multilingual specialist with an international background in the wholesale and manufacturing fashion industry. Claudia Schafer has been working with Max Mara Italian fashion house since 2013. Here she started as a Wholesale Sales Manager for the Max Mara Studio line, in charge of the UK and Irish market, then taking on Max Mara Hosiery & Max Mara Leisure luxury loungewear/lifestyle line in 2016, for which she is currently launching a new collection. Claudia graduated in Fashion Business from Istituto Marangoni in 2010. She attended two years in Milano – where she also kicked off her career at the young age of 20 as a Showroom Assistant with Jil Sander in the Milano Showroom – and then decided to complete her training path in Paris, with the chance to collaborate, during her senior year, in the setting up of a fashion show for Gianfranco Ferrè alongside a major casting duo with whom she had kept in touch from Jil Sander’s. The choice of giving up summer holidays for two years while she was still studying at Istituto Marangoni proved to be a good one, as she was able to enter the world of work without going through the usual post-graduation internship programmes. Indeed, after graduating in Paris, Claudia moved directly to London, where she pursued her career within wholesale working for the denim brand Pepe Jeans as a Wholesale Sales Executive, to culminate in her current position as a fashion expert at Max Mara’s.
