Chinese fashion designer Echo Yu graduated from Istituto Marangoni Milano in 2010, although she had already opened her own atelier in 2003 under the name of E.C.O. STUDIO. In her studio, she experiments with textiles and shapes, combining menswear details with womenswear designs. Her specialty is a unique mastery in merging colours and patterns into basic garments and, collection after collection, she has steadily expressed this talent. Her skills were already evident while she studied at Istituto Marangoni: her graduate work received praise from French teachers and was also shown on TV. After graduation, Echo worked in the studio of the renowned Chinese designer Wuxuekai, where she cut her teeth designing menswear; however she soon approached the world of womenswear she is still so keen on. In 2004, she launched “Shanghai ZiYou Fashion design co. LTD” and released the easy-chic Light Fashion line “E by E.C.O STUDIO” centred on smart, vintage and changeable fashion. She is going to release the independent designer brand “E POI” in 2015.
