Violante Nessi was born in Bologna in 1990 by Chilean mother and Italian-German father. From 2009 to 2012 she studied Fashion Design at
Istituto Marangoni in Milan and in 2011 she attended an intensive course at
Central Saint Martins College in London. During her studies she began to approach the professional world of fashion working as a Sales Assistant at Marc
Jacobs Showroom. In 2012, after finishing her studies, Violante moved to New York where she worked within the design team of Marc
Jacobs,
Proenza,
Schouler and
Altuzarra. At the end of 2013, she returned to Europe to become Design Assistant of Creative Director at
Tom Ford in London. After these experiences and several specialization courses in knitting and embroidery, Violante decided to convey curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to express her aesthetic in the creation of her own brand. That’s how in 2015 she established her namesake brand Violante Nessi combining her passion for
Painting and
Art inspired by her personal vision. The aesthetics of Violante Nessi aims to create a
new sense of femininity, in which the woman is wearing a dress which carries meanings and emotions: core values of the brand. In the collections the values of
excellent craftsmanship, high quality and meticulous research of materials meet new,
modern and personal content,
constantly evolving as the generation of women to whom it’s addressed.
