DIS-CYCLING · Turning scraps into art

A Special Project with FENDI and Sarah Coleman

DIS-CYCLING · The seductive allure of creativity in sustainability is a disruptive project that brings together Istituto Marangoni students and luxury house FENDI, guided by NY artist and out-of-the-box thinker Sarah Coleman as Creative Director.
Concerned with the impact of today’s relentless fashion system, Coleman has turned her creative activity into an upcycling mission. The artist teamed up with selected Fashion DesignMultimedia Arts and Textile Innovation students and executives from the world-renowned label to give the industry a circular makeover.

Francesco Agazio · Multimedia Arts student

A student of Multimedia Arts at the Istituto Marangoni Fashion and Art School in Firenze, Francesco shares his excitement to work alongside Sarah Coleman, luxury giant FENDI and fellow students to address one of today’s hottest topics for GenZers: reuse and sustainability.

Giulia Piceni · Arts Curating
 student

Giulia Piceni may not have a fashion design background, but she is fully fledged to contribute to the Dis-Cycling project with her conceptual insights. An Arts Curating student at Istituto Marangoni Firenze, her research focuses on the links between fashion and art and how they feed into each other’s development.
