DUBAI

Participants learn brand marketing and development strategies, and implement specific cost control systems. By studying cultural, sociological and historical dynamics in fashion, they understand the influence of trends in different markets, countires and realities and their impact on sales performance. 

Taking a fashion collection or luxury product through to wholesale and retail distribution channels needs a mix of both concrete business acumen and creative communication skills in order to successfully complete the process; determining target audience, price brackets, and planning promotion and distribution channels. Participants learn real-world skills working in collaboration with international companies on industry projects and case studies, as well as via guest lectures and talks from visiting professionals and experts in the sector. The overall aim of the programme is to form future business professionals capable of creating a valid business plan, or commercial proposal, either for a start-up, new business ventures, or for existing brand development.

The course looks at current issues in the industry including sustainability and new media digital marketing (virtual platforms, e-commerce, social media) working to define a commercial proposal that meets the demands of the fashion industry of today. Key focus is also given to competitor evaluation and analysis techniques. Through the principles of economics and finance, participants are able to measure profitability and ensure compliance with budgets and strategies, and implement specific cost control systems.

ADVANCED TRAINING DIPLOMA

The Fashion Management, Digital Communication & Media Advanced Training Programme is designed with an explicit progression from creative and managerial processes related to the promotions of fashion collections and brands, to the distinctive operations of the fashion communication industry and its players, as editorial groups, communication agencies or media centers, to the new frontiers of communication, under the impact of the digital transformation and the growing demands for responsibility, diversity and inclusivity.

Within the three years, managerial subjects are enriched with cultural and technical subjects. These disciplines are necessary to enable trainees to properly interpret market phenomena and develop effective communication strategies aware of social, anthropological and psychological factors, as well as aesthetic trends and a vertical expertise on the fashion industry. Such an expertise, specifically, include an in-depth knowledge about different business models, professional roles, operations, fashion cycles, material science and product technology.

The core subjects of the programme revolve around the domains of marketing communication, brand storytelling, content creation, fashion writing, creative direction, virtual production. As a result, the course approaches fashion communication from different perspectives, from intercultural communication to fashion styling, from media planning to celebrity management, from digital storytelling to event management, from fashion journalism to inclusive communication strategies.

FASHION MEDIA AND DIGITAL PROJECTS

Trainees are guided in the definition of communication strategies and plans, and have the opportunity to implement their ideas by creating contents for fashion magazines in the form of editorials, articles or trend reports, to shoot digital marketing campaigns or to experiment with innovative communication formats inspired by the world of gaming and Web 3.

Istituto Marangoni Riyadh offers 3-year Advanced Training Diploma programs that cater to the specific demands of the local job market for the chosen specialization.

As part of the didactical experience provided to its trainees, the Diploma include an internship period (“Cooperative Training”) which is embedded in the Study Plan of each programme at the third year. This working experience allows trainees to take advantage of skills and topics learned during lessons, putting them into concrete practice within a real professional environment. The internship consists of a period of an experience in professional practice through the realization of individual or group project in collaboration with institutions or companies on their premises, or on the institute’s premises (internship on campus).

Trainees of the Training Diploma at Istituto Marangoni in Riyadh can have the opportunity to either complete their study path in Saudi Arabia with a 3-year Advanced Diploma, which includes a 6-month internship (Cooperative Training), or take advantage from Study Abroad mobility towards Istituto Marangoni campuses in Italy, France, UK and UAE, through the “Istituto Marangoni Cross-School” program.
