FASHION GRADUATE ITALIA 2026

Speak Up!

Istituto Marangoni Milano presents 10 emerging talents at Fashion Graduate Italia 2026

Ten emerging talents from Istituto Marangoni Milano will take centre stage at Fashion Graduate Italia 2026 on 27 October at 2:00 pm at BASE Milano, presenting collections that reflect their creative journeys. Each collection stands out for its authentic, personal vision, transforming intimate experiences into a universal language that engages with the present and looks towards the future.

Through the language of fashion, these young designers explore profound and timely themes such as memory, identity and gender fluidity, weaving together artistic references, architectural inspirations and cultural influences spanning different eras and geographies. Their creations become visual narratives that capture the complexity of contemporary society, reflecting the tensions of our time while celebrating the traditions that sustain it.

Through experimentation and research, innovative materials and artisanal techniques, each collection opens up new expressive possibilities, reflecting the diverse perspectives and sensibilities that characterise a new generation of creatives.

A Jury representing the Fashion Industry

The collections presented on the runway are the culmination of a rigorous selection process, as over 200 third-year students from the Fashion Design & Accessories programme submitted their projects. Through a competitive evaluation, thirty finalists were selected, with ten ultimately earning the opportunity to showcase their collections at the end-of-year Fashion Show.

The students were evaluated by a jury of leading figures from across the fashion industry: creative directors, buyers, human resources professionals, and talent managers, each bringing a different yet complementary perspective. Notable members included Marco Rambaldi, Galib Gassanoff, Satoshi Kuwata, Gregory de la Hogue Moran, Youwie Roes, Marianna Lantieri, Marco Carrieri, Chiara Allegri, Paola Sandrini, and Rebecca Piattella.

“Curiosity, a willingness to learn, passion, and a conscious sense of humility. I believe these are the fundamental qualities needed to embark on a career in the fashion world.”

The selection criteria focused on several key principles: research, creativity, methodology, critical thinking, product quality, and the ability to develop a distinctive personal vision. This design-driven culture lies at the heart of Istituto Marangoni Milano, which for over 90 years has been committed to educating professionals capable of interpreting the present and envisioning the future.

The Ten Selected Students

The ten designers selected for Fashion Graduate Italia 2026 represent a rich diversity of creative and technical approaches, as reflected in the themes explored through their collections.

“The excellence of Istituto Marangoni Milano takes shape once again this year through the diverse visions of the ten students and their final collections. It is a story of encounters: technology and craftsmanship, where research takes shape as ideas and technique becomes beauty. Like a refraction, each collection breaks down contemporary reality into its own distinctive facet, showcasing the exploration of volumes, materials and techniques that has always set us apart.”

Indoor Wind

“Indoor Wind” describes a condition rather than an event: movement without direction, sensation without consequence. Drawing on Camus’s concept of the absurd, the collection explores the tension between the human desire for meaning and an environment that offers only maintenance, repetition and comfort. Humour emerges from the absurdity of something that continues to function without reason or reward.

01 EMILIA ANDERSSON

SILENZIO

The collection enters into a dialogue with Fernando Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet, reflecting on human connections and solitude. The contrast between leather and lace conveys the tension between emotional armour and vulnerability, while slashes inspired by Lucio Fontana, adorned with feathers, open onto an inner landscape of emotion and desire. A duality between self-protection and intimacy that is never fully resolved. Special thanks to Bonaudo for supplying the leather used to create the collection.

L'ultima favola

L’ultima favola emerges from a suspended moment in which dream and reality blur, seen through the eyes of an adult who refuses to stop dreaming. The collection explores the conflict between childhood and adulthood, between 1950s elegance and a poetic chaos inspired by the Impressionist palette. Growing up does not mean losing innocence, but preserving it.

03 LIDIA PESCATORE

Dreams Come True

Inspired by the dream of a better world, the collection transforms the uncertainties and conflicts of the present into something beautiful and meaningful. Lace, velvet and leather balance fragility and strength, while exposed seams and deliberately visible construction details evoke a fractured, unresolved world. The hand-embroidered cross symbolises faith, hope and protection.

04 Maria Glykeria Zafeiropoulou

Rodnoe

Rodnoe is a sense of belonging to the places, people and memories that have shaped us: nostalgia, melancholy and a desire to recognise the familiar in the unfamiliar. The collection is conceived as an old photo album, where furnishings and architecture become fabrics and colours, while culture and art translate into silhouettes and proportions. A contemporary narrative woven from memory and belonging.

05 Mariia Likhacheva

RitmoMateria

Art and fashion share the ability to transform an idea into a visible form, both emerging from observation, research and experimentation. In this collection, art becomes a design method: shapes, volumes and proportions are studied as elements of an artistic composition, with each garment engaging with the body in three dimensions. Hence the title RitmoMateria.

07 MICHELE MATA'

Vil Pensiero e Corpi Altrui

The collection explores the body as a site of construction and transformation, challenging the idea of a fixed identity. Through sculptural silhouettes, textile manipulation and an aesthetic that intertwines camp, politics and craftsmanship, it reflects on the relationship between the individual, representation and power. Clothing becomes a space for negotiation between who we are and what we choose to reveal. Special thanks to Ratti for supplying the fabrics used to create the collection.

06 NICCOLO' DI CARLO

Acquainted

The collection explores the emotions surrounding forgetting, remembering and learning to accept, transforming a painful memory into something beautiful through the eyes of the person who experienced it. Like light reflected in a swimming pool, creating distinct shapes and colours in the water, pleats, embroidery and sheer fabrics capture this movement. The folds conceal what lies beneath, just as in life we must look closer to appreciate the details.

08 ANZOLIN JOAO PEDRO

Anterum

The collection stems from observing people in everyday life: waiting rooms, public transport and places where we are alone together. Anterum, the small, unremarkable room before the important one, captures the quiet absurdity of the ordinary. Simple, controlled silhouettes, drawn from the ways strangers occupy public space, explore the tension between individuality and conformity.

09 LINDGREN SIRI

SONDER

SONDER stems from the awareness that every stranger lives a life as complex and vivid as our own, sharing the same universe yet inhabiting a different world. The collection reflects on identity and belonging, between the need to meet others’ expectations and the discovery that we are already enough. Minimalism and maximalism find balance in clean silhouettes and sculptural volumes. Special thanks to Bonaudo for supplying the leather used to create the collection.
