Neil Barrett, acclaimed British fashion designer and founder of his namesake label, has been appointed as the new mentor for fashion programmes at Istituto Marangoni London for the 2025/2026 academic year, bringing his signature vision to the students.
Barrett began his career at Gucci and later launched Prada Menswear, where he helped redefine contemporary tailoring. In 1999, he founded the NEIL BARRETT brand, debuting in Milan with collections that fused sharp precision, minimalist design, and athletic influences.
His distinctive aesthetic and innovative use of performance fabrics have earned international acclaim, with his pieces worn by Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake, Orlando Bloom, and other global icons. Today, the brand is available in over 60 countries and continues to set a benchmark for refined, modern fashion.
For Barrett, fashion is not just about form — it's a way to express identity, innovation, and relevance. His mentorship at Istituto Marangoni London offers students direct access to one of the industry's leading voices and supports the school’s mission to shape future leaders in an ever-evolving fashion world.
