Design School students visit the Zegna boutique
Design Management & Strategic Innovation Master’s students had a unique experience during their visit to the Zegna boutique on Via Montenapoleone, in the heart of the Quadrilatero della Moda, where they engaged with the company directly, gaining a unique insight into the retail world.
Their tutor Caterina Lunghi, accompanied the students to the Zegna boutique, where the Store Manager, Matteo Lazzari, and Sustainability PR & Communication Manager, Matteo Ferrario, warmly welcomed them.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the most relevant aspects of the retail world, including shop layout, display space management and customer interaction, while closely observing the communication and marketing strategies adopted by Zegna, a leader in men's fashion.
The students concluded their visit by delving into the case study of Zegna's communication strategy, which focuses on the promotion of Oasi Zegna, established in the early 1990s by Ermenegildo Zegna himself. Zegna has always been very attentive to environmental issues, and decided to create a protected area where he could connect with nature. Sustainability is indeed a crucial aspect of the company’s marketing and communication strategies, as it strives for a harmonious balance between business and the environment.
The students showed great interest and involvement throughout the visit, recognising the importance of first-hand experiences like this. They appreciated the opportunity to interact with brands and professionals, learn about the many career opportunities and gain a better understanding of the industry they will soon be joining.
