In the heart of Milan, the capital of design and luxury, the Master in Fine Jewellery Design at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design opens the doors to a world where art, innovation, and high jewellery coexist in perfect harmony.
This programme is designed for those who wish to transform their creative vision into a career in the luxury industry, through exclusive collaborations with iconic brands such as Cartier, Pomellato, Vhernier, and other prestigious international maisons.

Career Opportunities and Testimonials

The Master paves the way for careers in the world of jewellery and luxury design, thanks to a hands-on approach and the support of the Career Service, which guides students along their professional journey.

Janice Park, alumna of the course, shares:

“My year at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design gave me valuable knowledge and the right tools to work in the field. Today, I work as a Jewellery Designer at Vhernier, thanks to the support of Marangoni’s Career Service.”

The skills acquired also allow students to take part in competitions and industry fairs.
Mahsa Mehrad, a current Master’s student, presented her project at Milano Jewellery Week 2025 in the student section at Spazio Lenovo:

“Istituto Marangoni gave me a solid foundation in jewellery and supported me whenever I needed it—both emotionally and technically. They kept me up to date with the jewellery world and taught me how to work within the European culture.”

Industry Project with SICIS Jewellery

In the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, Master’s students took part in a special project with SICIS Jewellery, an international maison renowned for its artistic use of micromosaic and continuous aesthetic research.

The project brief, “Extraordinary Flowers – Nature and Material for SICIS Jewels”, was launched on October 28, 2025, at the company’s headquarters in Ravenna, where students experienced an immersive journey inside the brand.

During the visit, they observed the production and stone-setting phases of the micromosaic jewels—a fully artisanal process that begins with threads of coloured glass and culminates in the final assembly. The tour continued in the SICIS showroom, where students admired glass art pieces and watched the artisans at work from above, gaining a deep understanding of the synergy between art, design, and material innovation.

The project invited students to reinterpret unusual and captivating flowers—such as wild orchids, proteas, passionflowers, and carnivorous plants—transforming them into contemporary jewels that embody the fusion of nature and technology, of traditional goldsmithing and innovative materials like titanium.
Through the use of micromosaic and colour experimentation, students created true wearable sculptures designed for a sophisticated and international audience.

Creativity, Innovation, and Italian Savoir-Faire

The Master in Fine Jewellery Design bridges the worlds of art and industry, where the tradition of Italian craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology and contemporary design visions.
It is a formative experience that not only prepares the designers of tomorrow but also inspires them to create beauty through excellence and exploration.
