Yesterday marked the end of the sixth edition of Front Row, the annual event organised by Istituto Marangoni • The School of Fashion during Milan Fashion Week.

Two days of conversations, debates, and testimonials with an audience of over 1500 people both online and at School in San Babila’s building, with the aim of exploring the future of creativity in a world where digital and Artificial Intelligence are becoming increasingly real.

The event addressed the impact of new technologies on the fashion industry and future careers, recognizing the importance of heritage and tradition at the same time: the speakers shared their experiences in an attempt to investigate the role of humans in the creative process and the potential of NFTs, Metaverse, and Gaming in the fashion industry, and how to build a recognizable identity both offline and online in an increasingly digitised world.

Guests on the first day included Palm Angels Founder and Creative Director Francesco Ragazzi, Japanese designer Tomo Koizumi, who presented his new collection during Milan Fashion Week supported by Dolce & Gabbana, who shared his experience as an emerging designer in a conversation with Edward Buchanan, Founder of Sansovino 6 and Milan Fashion Director of Perfect Magazine, and Dechlan Chan, Creative Consultant in dialogue with Hanan Besovic, Fashion Commentator @ideservecouture, who discussed the importance of creating connections in a world where the first showcase of one's talent is online.

The second day began with a conversation between Francesco Bernabei, CO-Founder & CEO of Monogrid, emphasizing the importance of creating digital and immersive environments, engaging installations, and surprising content for luxury brands, and Andrea Lorini, an expert in NFT, Metaverse, and Gaming, highlighting the potential of these emerging technologies in transforming the fashion industry.

The second panel featured Gloria Maria Cappelletti, Editor in Chief & Creative Director of RED-EYE, emphasising the importance of XR aesthetics for fashion and luxury in the Web3 landscape, discussing media and creativity with digital stylist Svetlana Yakunina and creative Rick Dick, who chose not to show himself, revealing only his voice.

To conclude the event, Antonio Patruno, Fashion Design Programme Leader, recounted the N.21 and Fendi Shows, fascinating the students with the story of the cultural references behind each collection.

Once again, Front Row has brought students together with the most interesting professionals in the industry, confirming itself as a venue for meaningful conversations about the future of creativity in an increasingly digital world.
