Istituto Marangoni Advisory Commitee (IMAC) Milano and Firenze
Istituto Marangoni’s schools in Milano and Firenze hosted the annual meeting of IMAC • Istituto Marangoni Advisory Committee, the corporate body established with the aim of discussing with professionals in fashion, art and design, analysing the relevant issues of the industry and adjusting the educational offer according to new market demands.
In a world where innovation has an increasingly relevant role, Istituto Marangoni decided to dedicate this edition of IMAC to the theme of technology, discussing its relationship with fashion, art and design. A debate with renowned professionals allows Istituto Marangoni to have first-hand information on the state of the art of the whole system, and reaffirms the Group’s will to constantly update the educational offer according to insights provided by the industry, to new trends and to the latest news in technology.
On last November 21st, at the Milano School of Fashion, representatives of Yoox Net-a-Porter, Lookhave, Lectra, Imprima and Lanieri provided their views on the relationship between technology and fashion, highlighting the need to an increased usage of technology and innovation both in terms of production and in terms of communication.
On last November 23rd, Firenze hosted an IMAC session dedicated to art and technology. Renowned professionals in the fields of art and culture (Museo Marino Marini, Media Art Festival, Accademia di Brera, Schermo dell’Arte Film Fest) gathered to discuss with the academic team of the School of Fashion and Art.
On November 28th, in the premise of via Cerva in Milano, the IMAC session on design and technology took place in the School of Design, with members of Future Concept Lab, Sharebot, Novaresin, Skorpion Engineering, iCoolhunt and Nextatlas.
