Istituto Marangoni Milano starts a new academic year

Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion looks ahead to the new academic year: the School has reopened its doors to over 1000 young students from around the world, eager to become part of the prestigious Istituto Marangoni community and ready to work to become the next fashion talent.
Barbara Toscano, Director of Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion, and Diana Marian Murek, Director of Education, welcomed the students to the two beautiful locations on Via Verri and Piazza San Babila, a stone's throw from Milan’s iconic "Quadrilatero della Moda" fashion district, the beating heart of national and international fashion.
The School’s Programme Leaders - Alessia Zambonin and Antonio Patruno for Fashion Design, Michela Guasco and Luca Bacelli for Fashion Styling and Simona Ironico and Fiorenza Sarotto for Fashion Business - presented the academic offer to new students, a top-notch programme designed to develop their skills and nurture their talent.
Full of interesting Workshops and Virtual Conversations, including “A glimpse into the future fashion career” with Samantha Dara, Senior Director Talent Acquisition at Versace, the schedule of initiatives organised by Istituto Marangoni Milano Fashion School was enriched by a special Welcome programme consisting of two Masterclasses at the famous Odeon Cinema, a stone's throw from the Milan Cathedral.
Held by Fashion Design Programme Leader Antonio Patruno and tutor Giulia Bedoni, the first lesson transported the audience back to the early 2000s, exploring the major trends that emerged in the recent Milan Fashion Week, which featured a constant alternation of reinterpretations and references to major trends of the past. This was followed by a Masterclass by Simonetta Buffo, a tutor for several Postgraduate programmes, who explored the link between visual art communication and the fashion industry, focusing on storytelling through Fashion Films.
Istituto Marangoni Milano invites the entire student community to follow the School's official Instagram account @istitutomarangoni_milano to stay up to speed on updates and events. Best wishes for the new academic year to all fashion students!
