Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion, partner of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, takes part in Fashion Graduate Italia 2022, an event to showcase students’ skills and creativity through a phygital format that celebrates Italian fashion education.

The seventh edition of the event will be a hybrid format taking place from November 3rd to 5th at BASE Milano. Istituto Marangoni Milano will join the three-day event with a dedicated booth, a space where visitors can experience the School’s atmosphere and discover its Academic Offer. They will also be able to explore student projects, admire the outfits designed by the most talented third-year Fashion Design students, and get to the heart of Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion.

As per tradition, there will be a fashion show to display the work of the 10 best students of Istituto Marangoni. The catwalk will feature collections designed by Madhav Bahety, Mariagiulia Bertoni, Garima Bhadra, Martina Cesana, Lukas Christ, Giuliana Teresa Fraccalvieri, Giulia Huang, Francesco Imberti, Jaehee Koo, Lorenzo Sala.

The event will be on November 3rd at 2.30PM.

A workshop entitled “Responsible Fashion: a Conversation around the Design and the Experience of Sustainability and Inclusivity” is scheduled for November 4 at 9 am.

Fashion Design Program Leader Simona Ironico will engage the participants in a discussion about contemporary trends in responsible fashion. The purpose of the session will be to encourage the audience to approach the topic under the multiple perspectives of environmental and social sustainability, as well as diversity and inclusivity.

Virtuous practices involving creatives, companies and consumers will be discussed at all the stages of the supply chain: from innovative fibers to post-consumer upcycling, from pre-owned marketplaces to adaptive fashion. The workshop will also explore the new frontiers of sustainability and inclusivity under the impact of the digital transformation, critically evaluating the opportunities offered by the virtualization of fundamental operations as designing, prototyping, fitting, buying, promoting, selling, and even consuming.
