Olfactory Lab & Talk on Olfactory Architectures
Olfactory Lab & Talk on Olfactory Architectures
Accademia del Profumo, in collaboration with Istituto Marangoni Milano, presents the Olfactory Lab, a permanent educational space dedicated to students enrolled in the Undergraduate and Master’s programmes in Fragrances & Cosmetics.
A space designed to introduce the next generation of professionals to the culture of perfumery through direct knowledge of the main olfactory facets and the raw materials that characterise them.
The Lab has been conceived as a reference olfactory repertoire, a tool for developing awareness, curiosity and a shared language around the world of fragrances. Rather than a space dedicated to formulation, it is a place for learning and in-depth exploration, in line with an educational pathway focused on business, marketing and product culture.
The project involves the fragrance houses affiliated with Accademia del Profumo, which contribute to building the Lab’s olfactory heritage and to students’ education through meetings, workshops and opportunities for exchange with industry professionals.
The project was created to build a bridge between education and industry and to provide tomorrow’s professionals with the tools to discover, understand and communicate the complex world of fragrances.
The Olfactory Lab will be officially inaugurated on 19 September, at Istituto Marangoni Milano’s Palazzo Turati campus, at Via Meravigli 7, with an institutional opening attended by representatives of Accademia del Profumo and Istituto Marangoni.
This will be followed by the talk “Olfactory Architectures: A Dialogue on Creation between Science, Art and Sensation”.
