Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion is excited to announce its participation in the 2023 edition of Fashion Graduate Italia, the event that brings together young talents from the best Italian Fashion Schools and Academies. The event will be held at BASE Milan from 24th to 26th October and will be an opportunity to showcase the projects of young designers through a special physical and digital showcase.

The event, organised by Piattaforma Sistema Informativo Moda, offers participating students the opportunity to exhibit their projects, allowing them to get noticed and create important connections within the Fashion Industry, which is becoming increasingly competitive every day.

The event consists of several stages, including the “making of”, fashion shows, workshops and lectures, held by teachers from the various participating schools. This year, the central theme of the workshops is "Do you remember the future?" which explores the connection between past and future in fashion. Indeed, designers are often inspired by the past and tradition during their creative process to create something new and revolutionary.

"Do you remember the future?" is a reminder of the continuous evolution of the fashion industry and the importance of keeping in touch with the past and tradition while embracing innovation. Simona Murialdo Sanchez, Fashion Styling Programme Leader at Istituto Marangoni Milano, lead this year's workshop. Using her experience and passion for styling and new technologies, such as AI and Machine Learning, she helped students understand how to make the most of the potential of digital to apply it in their work.

The selected fashion designers for the Fashion Show are: Weng Jingkai, Maria Dragomir, Elena Fu, Filiberto Ferrari, Ilinca Gruia, Francesco Datti, Isabel Eilmann, Mao Shunyu, Arianna Giannotti, Camilla Torsa and Retbierieka Kong.

The event served as a platform for young talents from Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of School, offering them the opportunity to share their creations and gain visibility in the industry. Visibility is not only reserved for Fashion Design students through the Fashion Shows, this year, there will be a dedicated space for Fashion Styling and Fashion Business students, especially during the “Making of” phase. Istituto Marangoni Milano took part in Fashion Graduate Italia as one of the many initiatives to help bridge the gap between university and the world of work.
