Istituto Marangoni Milano The School of Fashion is pleased to announce the renewed partnership with Swarovski, the iconic crystal and jewellery company. As part of the partnership, they announced a new contest, which is dedicated to first and second-year students of the three-year, one-year and intensive courses in the Fashion Design area, as well as those enrolled in the Fashion Styling & Creative Direction Master’s programme.

The contest is centred around the brand's crystals and on the reinterpretation of the "Mathemagical Garden" concept, inspired by the Baroque works of Italian artist Francesco Curti. The students will be tasked with designing embroidery for a unisex shirt using Swarovski crystals and developing the chosen theme, which invites them to explore the connection between magic and science, inspired by an enchanted garden.

The students who will take part in the contest have got the chance to meet with the company to learn more about the brand and the different types of crystals, so that they could choose the most suitable ones for their project. The six selected winners will have the opportunity to showcase their garments during a special event. Not only will they get visibility by exhibiting their garments in a special setting like Swarovski's, but they will also get to meet with the press and industry insiders, bringing out their work and creativity.

Stay tuned to find out who the winners of the contest are and which projects were the best!
