The prestigious cottons of Supima and Albini meet the excellence of Istituto Marangoni Milano
The project involving students from the Master’s course in Fashion Product Management came to an end on May 25. Students were asked to develop some creative ideas using the prestigious cottons provided by the American brand Supima and Albini Group, a well-known Italian textile brand.
Divided into four groups, students Edoardo Magazzeni, Cecilia Pegorini, Paoletti Elisa, Ivana Amicone, Natalia Pannacci, Noemi Baravelli, Miren Artola, Camille Mercier, Emanuele Esposito and Ye Siyao were assigned a specific theme to develop, with the purpose to interpret and enhance the different souls of cotton, characterized by long, resistant fibers. The themes were White, Denim, Total Look/Overshirt and Casual Shirt, each of them developed according to the students’ creative ideas, then designed and made into finished garments.
The collaboration with two major players like Supima and Albini gave the students the unique opportunity to understand the garment creation process, addressing the distinctive aspects of product management and every step from concept to production.
