Ten Talented Students from Istituto Marangoni Milano to Present Their Collections at BASE Milano
On 30th October, ten emerging talents from Istituto Marangoni Milano will take centre stage at Fashion Graduate Italia 2025, showcasing collections that narrate their individual journeys of creative growth. Each project stands out for its authentic and personal vision, transforming intimate experiences into a universal language that speaks to the present while projecting towards the future.
Through the language of fashion, these 10 fashion designers address profound and contemporary themes — memory, identity, and gender fluidity — weaving together artistic references, architectural inspirations, and cultural influences that transcend time and geography. Their creations become visual narratives that reflect the complexity of contemporary society, capturing the tensions of our era while celebrating the traditions that continue to shape it.
Balancing experimentation and research, innovative materials and craftsmanship, each collection opens new expressive possibilities, revealing the multiplicity of perspectives and sensibilities that define a new generation of creatives.
The Ten Emerging Talents and Their Collections
Marta Belloni – Piccole Cose
A collection that celebrates the curious and authentic gaze of childhood, inviting us to rediscover beauty in hidden details. Embroidery, textures and prints become tools to reimagine what often goes unnoticed.
Luca Berluti – La Famiglia
Drawing inspiration from memories and family bonds, this collection explores the construction of identity through contrasts of strength and fragility. Transformation and rebirth take shape through the symbolism of the serpent and the pearl, representing a new form of inner power.
Lisa Zheng – SHAPE UP!
Exploring the duality between formality and play, this collection draws inspiration from artist Erwin Wurm to portray the transformation and balance of young adults navigating between rigidity and authenticity. Reinvented shapes and rules celebrate the complexity of contemporary identity.
Beatrice Bottarelli – Lacrimosa
Inspired by Amélie’s escape from appearances into nature, the collection turns melancholy into gentle nostalgia, celebrating the freedom of living authentically without seeking approval from others.
Sangbeom Chu – Imperfect
An exploration of the obsession with perfection and the psychological conflicts it generates. The collection evolves from refined, controlled silhouettes into deconstructed forms, expressing repressed emotions and the anxiety hidden beneath the surface.
Agata Kecik – Echoes of Memory
Transforming fragmented memories into tangible forms, the collection is inspired by the Viennese Secession and Art Nouveau. Through light, shadow and symbolic layering, it becomes an introspective journey revealing how what we forget continues to shape who we are.
Roberto Muscoso – 37.75073°N 14.99409°E
Inspired by Mount Etna, Sicily and its sea, this collection reinterprets Sicilian identity without stereotypes. Blending floral influences, local traditions and references to the historic Targa Florio, it combines traditional craftsmanship with ready-made elements in surprising ways.
Lou Suchel – Pierrot
Inspired by the emotional depth rather than the aesthetics of the Pierrot character, the collection reflects vulnerability and creativity. Traditional craftsmanship meets digital innovation, creating timeless garments that tell an expressive, poetic story.
Elif Sultan Toglukdemir – Maréose
Exploring the contrast between outward strength and hidden inner turmoil, the collection captures the feeling of being observed but not supported – balancing grace and silent struggle.
Tatiana Grach – PRAVDA
A dystopian collection that deconstructs Soviet symbols to critique patriarchy, celebrating female rebellion through bold volumes and sustainable materials.
The event will be live-streamed at 10.30am on Istituto Marangoni Milano’s Instagram profile, extending the visions of these young designers beyond the physical runway and connecting creativity with the digital world.
