Saudi Arabia’s Fashion Industry on the Rise
Saudi Arabia’s Fashion Industry on the Rise
Saudi Arabia is a strong and growing fashion market.
According to the State of Fashion Sector in Saudi Arabia 2025, it is estimated to reach $36.8 billion by 2025, making it the largest in the Gulf region. The sector’s expansion has positively influenced employment: in 2024, the fashion and beauty industry recorded a 7.3% increase in its workforce compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 343,000 employees.
However, it is not easy- especially for young people at the early stages of their careers - to connect with companies. For this reason, Istituto Marangoni Riyadh guarantees all students enrolled in its 3-year courses the opportunity to attend job interviews with top recruiters and global fashion brands.
This is possible thanks to the Istituto Marangoni’s partnership with the Fashion Commission and the connection to a global network of international companies. An example is Etoile Group, a leading player in luxury retail in the GCC. Over 40 years ago, they opened the very first Chanel boutique in the Arabian Gulf.
Today, Istituto Marangoni has an average global employment rate of 91% for its graduates one year after graduation. The figures vary by program, with Fashion Design reaching a 96% employment rate, and Fashion Business achieving 94%.
Graduates not only secure jobs more quickly but also report higher job satisfaction and better alignment with their fields of study, highlighting the institute’s ability to equip students with the skills the industry demands.
Istituto Marangoni’s dedicated Career Advising Service is crucial to this success. Starting from the second year, students receive tailored guidance to develop soft and transversal skills that are increasingly sought after in today’s market.
Enrollments for the Winter Intake of the 3-year courses are now open.
Both creative programs—such as Fashion Design & Accessories and Fashion Communication & Image—and management programs—Fashion Management and Digital Communication & Media—will start on January 4th.
Students can apply for Fashion Commission scholarships. The initiative offers to Saudi nationals the opportunity to win a scholarship to cover up to 50% the tuition fee for 3-year undergraduate Advanced Training Diploma programmes of Istituto Marangoni Riyadh.
Another scholarship opportunity is the Hia Magazine contest. The initiative provides partial tuition fee coverage based on merit and contest outcomes for Advanced Training Diploma, One year Program, and Professional Programmes.
