An iF Design Award for a Prisma Project Alumna with VIDA
A new international achievement for the Istituto Marangoni community: a Prisma Project Alumna, Mariana Prestes, has won a prestigious iF Design Award with the product VIDA, a lamp distinguished by its strong symbolic and design value.
The project was conceived during the Short Course in Product Design in 2020, developed within Gustavo Martini’s classes and presented as a final project to Stefano Caggiano. This journey demonstrates how even a short educational experience can evolve into an idea capable of earning one of the most authoritative recognitions in the international design landscape.
VIDA — whose name already evokes the concept of “life” — represents a synthesis of formal research, material sensitivity, and contemporary vision, reaffirming the value of talent nurtured within the Institute.
Mahra Mustafa and the Finalists at the Sergio Cereda Design Awards 2026
At the Sergio Cereda Design Awards 2026, one of the most prestigious international competitions dedicated to eyewear design, student Mahra Mustafa was awarded an outstanding third place, standing out for the originality and quality of her project.
The same edition also featured Anping Chu, Camille Ferreira and Gustav Craft among the finalists, with projects exploring sports performance, architecture, sustainability and visual perception, applied to eyewear as a contemporary design object.

Camille Ferreira Wins at the European Product Design Awards 2025
Student Camille Ferreira has been named Winner at the European Product Design Awards 2025 in the Home Furniture Accessories category with her project Pebble.
Inspired by the dialogue between artificial intelligence and the human creative process, the concept stands out for its formal essentiality and the synthesis between function and form, reaffirming the Institute’s commitment to supporting forward-thinking design paths.

Honorable Mention for ONE BAG at the European Product Design Award
The project ONE BAG, created by Anastasiia Ovsiannikova, received an Honorable Mention at the European Product Design Award.
Conceived as a minimalist waterproof emergency bag, ONE BAG stems from a personal experience and stands out for its social and functional impact: an object designed to respond to real needs through an ethical and sustainable approach to design.

Anna Rebekka Hofer Finalist at the ADCE Awards
The project FRANK, The Truth Project by Anna Rebekka Hofer was selected as a finalist at the ADCE Awards, one of the most relevant recognitions in the European creative and visual communication landscape.
This achievement highlights the excellence of the educational path offered in the field of Visual Communication and the international impact of the design narratives developed by students.

Two Bronze Awards at the ADCI Awards 2025 for Visual Communication Design
At the ADCI Awards 2025, two projects created by Institute students were awarded the Bronze prize by the Art Directors Club Italiano.
The works “Bloom” by Davide Lazzoni and “Chinatown, Milano” by Isabella Fernandez de Castro were recognized for their originality, narrative impact and project maturity, confirming the high level achieved within the Visual Communication Design programme.
D&AD New Blood Awards
Advay Gupta has established himself as one of the school’s most promising talents, winning first place in the 2023 edition with the project “Capriolo Mirror”—a solid wood mirror inspired by the form of the animal, featuring a rotating marble base.

And the second place in 2024 with “Barca”, a bed that reinterprets the ergonomics of rest with elegance and a strong focus on craftsmanship.
Both projects were developed during his academic journey in collaboration with Porada, the Italian brand renowned for excellence in designer furniture.

IdeasxWood International Contest
In the competition promoted by Tabu and FSC® Italia, dedicated to the sustainable use of wood, two projects by Istituto Marangoni students received notable recognition:
- Ana Luisa Brugnara and Lucia Moraes were awarded a Special Mention for their project “ELEA”, which also received the FSC® President’s Award for its high environmental value.

- Lillian Sims and Laura Marek won Third Prize with “Raw Roots”, a project based on the use of natural materials and flexible, low-impact structures.

Both projects were exhibited at the Triennale di Milano, showcasing a successful integration of design, environmental ethics, and innovation.
Janus et Cie Student Design Competition
Camille Ferreira won First Place in the international Janus et Cie competition with her project “Inter-Link”, an urban furniture system designed to foster interaction and a sense of community. Officially presented at NeoCon Chicago, the project was selected for its ability to combine organic forms with architectural functionality in public spaces.

CREATable Resources Contest NEXT40
Anastasiia Ovsiannikova earned Second Place with a project focused on household waste sorting. The concept addresses themes of circular economy and domestic space organization through sustainable and scalable solutions. It was presented during Ecomondo 2024 in Rimini, highlighting the role of design in promoting environmentally responsible living.
